Site visit and plan
We visit at a time that suits you, measure the space and check the existing floor, then build an installation plan that coordinates removal, prep and installation to keep disruption low.
- Step 02
Room cleared
The furniture comes off the area being carpeted so the crew has open floor to work on. When that happens is set in the installation plan.
- Step 03
Old carpet out
Our Austin crew removes the worn carpet. Removal of the existing flooring is part of the job, not a separate contractor to book.
- Step 04
Subfloor prepared
Before anything new goes down, the crew prepares the subfloor for the new carpet.
- Step 05
New carpet in
The carpet you chose from the samples is installed row by row, with close attention to detail.
- Step 06
Furniture back
With the new floor down, the furniture goes back on it, following your floor plan.
- Step 07
Finished floor
The project wraps up on the schedule in your installation plan, with the work area kept clean throughout.

What to look for
- A low, dense pile that grit can’t sink into
- Darker, multi-tone colors and patterns that hide soil between cleanings
- A walk-off zone right inside the door to catch dirt before it travels

Three questions to bring to the samples

Tiles or broadloom?
Carpet tiles are modular: a stained or worn square can be replaced on its own, and 24 by 24 inches is the most common size. Broadloom comes off a roll, typically 12 feet wide, for a seamless look, so in a large room the seams need planning. Planks are tiles in a long, narrow format.

What does this floor need to hide?
Spills by the coffee bar, grit at the door, sun through west-facing windows. Color, pattern and fiber all change how a floor looks after a year of it. Seeing samples in your own lighting tells you more than a photo on a screen does.

What’s underneath it?
The backing system and the condition of the subfloor decide how long new carpet lasts. That gets assessed at the site visit, along with the measurements.
